About AMP

Alaska Music Project for Youth (AMP) is a grassroots initiative of Alaskan musicians working to create the next generation of artists and performers. AMP is the state’s only comprehensive movement delivering music access, education, and production technology to the Alaskans that need it most.

“Giving Alaskan youth access to music and industry resources across the state.”

Creating Musicians

AMP believes that access to instruments and instruction is critical to creating life-long musicians. The Alaska Music Project will ensure that youth musicians throughout Alaska will be empowered through access to camps and workshops as well as free instrument lending libraries and mobile recording studios.

Live Performance

One of the most important aspects of music is the confidence and life skills that are developed through live performance. AMP is dedicated to giving youth of Alaska a platform to express themselves and the ability to watch professional musicians play their trade. If you would like to help us get kids on stages around the state and exposed to touring professional musicians, please donate today!

Mobile Recording Studios

While playing music is critical, in the twenty-first century it is the recording and production of music that has the best chance to reach a large audience. AMP will begin the process of developing and installing six mobile recording studios in six rural communities throughout Alaska where all ages can learn on industry standard technology to produce and share their original work.

Help Alaska’s youth gain access to music mentorship, equipment, activities and community!
